This week's feature will focus on the Premier O Scale Gs-4/Gs-6 4-8-4 Steam Locomotive, EMD GP40 Diesel Locomotive, Florida Tri-Rail GP40 Passenger Train, NJ Transit GP40 Passenger Train, and select Premier Freight Cars including the O Scale N-8 Caboose, Gondola Car w/Pipe Load, and 3-Bay Centerflow Hopper. EMD GP-40 Diesel Locomotive - Both under the hood and under the frame, the GP40 exemplified EMD's product line in transition. Along with its less-powerful sister, the GP38, the Geep 40 was the first EMD locomotive with the model 645 diesel motor. During a six-year production run that began in 1965, over 1200 GP40s were sold to U.S., Canadian and Mexican railroads.
