March 27, 2025 - M.T.H. Electric Trains has announced an exclusive and uncataloged Premier O Scale Husky Stack Cars in Norfolk Southern livery for M.T.H. Authorized Retailer Mr. Muffin's Trains in Atlanta, Indiana. The cars will be available in unique car numbers in both single and 4-car sets, each limited in quantity beginning in August 2025.

ABOUT THE O SCALE HUSKY STACK CAR

On April 26, 1956, a revolution in shipping began when the first container ship, a converted oil tanker named Ideal X, left Port Newark, NJ, headed for Houston. The brainchild of truck-driver-turned-shipping-magnate Malcolm Purcell McLean, containerization was a giant step forward in shipping efficiency, security, and cost.

Two decades later, McLean and the Southern Pacific Railroad pioneered the double-stack intermodal car, designed with the help of ACF Industries. The idea was slow to catch on, but in 1984, the SP and American President Lines ran the first coast-to-coast all-double-stack train. In the ensuing years, double-stacks have become one of the most common cars on American rails, delivering containers loaded at all points of the globe to destinations across our continent.

March 25, 2025 - M.T.H. Electric Trains will be releasing RailKing O Gauge 60' Madison Passenger Cars in three different schemes this Fall to complement the 2025 K-4 Pacifics announced this past February. Like the locomotives, these cars will be available in extremely limited quantities and are expected to begin shipping to M.T.H. Authorized Retailers in October 2025.
