October 8, 2019 - If you're a fan of Halloween, then this locomotive is the perfect way to add the season's scary excitement to your own HO layout. Colorfully decorated in Halloween livery and outfitted with the very same Proto-Sound 3.0 sound package found in all of our HO diesel locomotives.

Additional features include flashing ditch lights and colorful green charging lights running the length of the body. Additional digital sounds include scary Halloween audio clips to round out the engine's perfect complement for your seasonal layout. Trigger the effects with any DCC controller or M.T.H.'s DCS Digital Command System. It doesn't get any better than this!

Like all M.T.H. locomotives, our ES44 offers HO scale’s finest combination of detail, realism, and performance. Listen to the chant of an authentic GEVO-12 motor, and throttle down as low as three scale miles per hour so you can admire the details as the Evolution Series glides by: see-through fans and grilles, walkways with safety tread, flashing ditch lights, windshield wipers, body and truck air brake piping, and a host of other separately applied details. For the ultimate in power and sound, operate these diesels in multiple-unit lashups under DCC, or DCS digital command control. If you’re running under the M.T.H. DCS system, you can double- or even triple-head the ES44AC with virtually any combination of 3.0 locomotives.

Monthly 2019 S Gauge Catalog Product Spotlight

October 9, 2019 - Each month throughout the year, M.T.H. will be spotlighting various items from our 2019 S Gauge Catalog.  This week's feature will focus on the S Gauge Rebuilt Steel Box Car in Nickel Plate Road livery. Each of these rebuilt box cars featured in the 2019 S Gauge Catalog is currently slated to begin delivering in March 2020.

Rebuilt Steel Boxcar - During and after World War I, American railroads took delivery of tens of thousands of boxcars built to USRA designs: single or double-sheathed wooden sides, wooden doors, and steel ends, roofs and underframes. Monthly RailKing 2019 One Gauge Catalog Product Spotlight

Santa Fe Alco PA Passenger Train - The PA was Alco’s glamour girl. While Electro-Motive’s E-units easily beat Alco’s passenger engine in terms of popularity, the PA is widely regarded as the most beautiful first-generation diesel - period. Perhaps no other locomotive looked so right at the head of the streamlined trains of the late forties and fifties that were the last hurrah of American long-distance passenger service. 2020 Volume 1 O Gauge Catalog York TCA Meet Pickup

October 9, 2019 - M.T.H. mailing list subscribers, M.T.H. Railroaders Club members (MTHRRC) and any others attending the 2019 Fall TCA York Meet in York, Pennsylvania can avoid the wait for the U.S. Postal Service by picking up the 2020 Volume 1 Premier & RailKing catalog and a selection of other M.T.H. previously printed materials beginning Thursday, October 17th at 12:00 noon.

To simplify the pickup process for any of our catalogs at the show, we've included an online form that readers can print out and fill out prior to coming to the show. Bring the completed form and we will be able to process you faster through our catalog pickup line.

Order The Fall 2019 Special TCA York Car Before They Sell Out

October 9, 2019 - M.T.H. Electric Trains has announced its 34th TCA York Show collector boxcar to be sold at the TCA York Show in York, Pennsylvania on October 17, 18, and 19, 2019.

Like the previous 33 cars sold in the York Car series, the latest edition will again be a Premier Line model - this time celebrating our 40th Anniversary which begins in 2020.

As in the past, a very limited number of these cars will be produced and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis for $40.00. MTHRRC Members attending the York show can purchase the car for $35.00. The car can be purchased at the M.T.H. booth in the Orange Hall.

Interested, MTHRRC and non-MTHRRC Members can speed up the time spent waiting to pick up your car by pre-ordering it from the M.T.H. Sales Department. NOTE If ordering the car in advance, you MUST attend the York show and personally pick up your car. Cars will NOT BE SHIPPED to show attendees who fail to pick them up at York.
