Custom Run Uncataloged Premier Line 36' Woodsided Reefer Car Announced
November 1, 2017 - M.T.H. Electric Trains has announced the production of an exclusive and uncataloged Premier Line 36' Woodsided Reefer Car in Piels Beer livery for the NJ Hi-Railers Model Railroad Club. Available in limited quantities in two different car numbers, the Piel's Beer car is the second in a series of cars being offered by the NJ Hi-Railers. The first, a Rubsam & Hormann Brewing Company 36' Woodsided Reefer quickly sold out. The Piel's car, like the R&H car before it, plays on the theme of metropolitan breweries as Piel's bought out the Staten Island Rubsam & Hormann in 1953. Premier Line Scale Wheel diesel models on a 3-rail model railroad by taking advantage of M.T.H.'s industry-only Proto-Scale 32 feature found on many M.T.H. Premier Line locomotives. Proto-Scale 32 allows Hi-Rail and Scale Wheel models to operate on 2 OR 3-rail track. Viewers will be amazed at how realistic O Gauge models can look after employing some of Rich's techniques.
