September 4, 2024 - M.T.H. Electric Trains will be releasing the 2025 Premier O Scale Husky Stack cars this Winter. Each of these offerings will be available in single-car and 4-car configurations, all in limited quantities and in unique car numbers. The cars are expected to begin shipping to M.T.H. Authorized Retailers in February 2025.

ABOUT THE PREMIER O SCALE HUSKY STACK CARS

On April 26, 1956, a revolution in shipping began when the first container ship, a converted oil tanker named Ideal X, left Port Newark, NJ headed for Houston. The brainchild of truck-driver-turned-shipping-magnate Malcolm Purcell McLean, containerization was a giant step forward in shipping efficiency, security, and cost.

Two decades later, McLean and the Southern Pacific Railroad pioneered the double-stack intermodal car, designed with the help of ACF Industries. The idea was slow to catch on, but in 1984 the SP and American President Lines ran the first coast-to-coast all-double-stack train. In the ensuing years, double-stacks have become one of the most common cars on American rails, delivering containers loaded at all points of the globe to destinations across our continent.

Electric Trains will be releasing several limited-edition Halloween releases beginning this Fall including an ES44 Diesel locomotive and matching caboose, a Bump-n-Go Trolley, and several complementing pieces of rolling stock. The Halloween-themed items continue a trend M.T.H. began back in 2008 and these 2024 releases are a great way to add to your own spooky collection of past cars, sets, and buildings. Each of these offerings is expected to begin shipping to M.T.H. Authorized Retailers in August 2024.

M.T.H. Electric Trains will be releasing the 2024 Premier O Scale ES44 Diesel Locomotive this Winter. Each of these offerings will be available in limited quantities and is expected to begin shipping to M.T.H. Authorized Retailers in January 2025.
